Edwin Landis works in his studio next to his house near Olympia, Wa. Besides his main medium, oil paint, he also works in pastel, acrylic, oil pastel, and most drawing mediums. Portraits and figure studies keep his link to art of the past strong.

His other genre is narrative which can imply a more linear "story". Edwin's Postmodern works are very discursive lingually as far as narrative is concerned. Surrealism, Fantasy, and Esoteric art are all also applicable terms for this category of Social Commentary.
